Shaft Mount Speed Reducer SMR 2 15/1

The SMR 2 15/1 shaft mount speed reducer is the compact end of the shaft mount line. Use it where the driven shaft is 1-15/16 inches or smaller and a 15:1 reduction gives the belt or feeder speed you need. It replaces TXT 215-style units and accepts TXT-compatible accessories.

It mounts directly on the driven shaft with the included torque arm, so you avoid a separate coupling and most base alignment. The housing is heavy-duty FCD45 cast iron. Shafts and gears are high-grade steel, case hardened and precision ground to AGMA standards. Metal-reinforced double-lip seals and tapered roller bearings are standard.

Maximum output bore is 1-15/16 inches. Order the matching box size 2 tapered bushing kit for the shaft diameter on the job. Confirm guard fit if you are adding a belt guard, since the shop guards currently start at BG3.
